Since we can’t be with you today for music class, here are some songs and activities that are similar to what we would work on in music class. Feel free to go through these activities in any order or follow the order listed below.

Step 1 - We want to make sure we warm-up our singing voices. Use your singing voice to follow these Vocal Exploration Flashcards and make high sounds and low sounds.
Step 2 - Listen to the song “Wise Old Owl.” Then sing the echoes on the song “Wise Old Owl.”
Step 3 - Listen to the song “Head Shoulders Knees and Toes” the first time that the animals sing it. Then sing the song “Head Shoulders Knees and Toes” with the animals while the song speeds up. Try to add the movements while you sing!
Step 4 - Listen to the poem “Here’s a Nest.” Then say the poem “Here’s a Nest.”
Step 5 - Listen to the poem “Hickory, Dickory, Dock” and keep the steady beat. Then sing the song “Hickory, Dickory, Dock” and keep the steady beat.
Step 6 - Keep the steady beat while listening to the song “Gaite Parisienne (After J. Offenbach) : Quadrille and Allegro.” How many different ways can you keep the steady beat?
Step 7 - Listen to the song story “If You're Happy and You Know It.” Listen for all of the ways to say “hello” in different languages at the end of this story!
