Hi Kindergarten Families!
Since we can’t be with you today for music class, here are some songs and activities that are similar to what we would work on in music class. Feel free to go through these activities in any order or follow the order listed below.
You should spend about 20 minutes on this music. Have fun!

Step 1 - This week we will review the “Ice Cream Sundae” story to help us warm-up our singing voices. Play the story. At the end of each part of the story use your voice to make a high or low “mmmm” sound that matches what happens in the story.
Step 2 - Listen to the song “Down By the Bay.” Then sing the echoes on the song “Down By the Bay.”
Step 3 - Listen to the Cajun song “Fais Dodo.” Then sing the English parts of the song “Fais Dodo.” This song is a lullaby about going to sleep. Can you sing this song to a stuffed animal while you rock it?
Step 4 - Listen to the song “A Ram Sam Sam.” Then sing the song “A Ram Sam Sam.”
Step 5 - Listen to the song “Cobbler, Cobbler” and keep the steady beat. Then sing the song “Cobbler, Cobbler” and keep the steady beat.
Step 6 - Keep the steady beat while listening to the song “Gaite Parisienne (After J. Offenbach) : Overture (La vie parisienne).” How many different ways can you keep the steady beat?
Step 7 - Listen to the song story “Father Grumble.”
