Since we can’t be with you today for music class, here are some songs and activities that are similar to what we would work on in music class. Feel free to go through these activities in any order or follow the order listed below.

Step 1 - The story “The Airplane Ride” will help us warm-up our singing voices this week. Play the recording of the story. When something good happens in the story, use your high voice to say “all right!” When something bad happens in the story, use your low voice to say “oh no!”
Step 2 - Listen to the song “I Met a Bear.” Then sing the parts of the song “I Met a Bear” that have echoes.
Step 3 - Listen to the song “Johnny Works With One Hammer.” Then sing the song “Johnny Works With One Hammer.”
Step 4 - Listen to the poem “Two Tall Telephone Poles.” Then say the poem “Two Tall Telephone Poles.” Can you create hand motions to go with the story?
Step 5 - Listen to the song “Did You Ever See a Lassie” and keep the steady beat. Then sing the song “Did You Ever See a Lassie” and keep the steady beat.
Step 6 - Keep the steady beat while listening to the song “Swan Lake, Op. 20: Spanish Dance.” How many different ways can you keep the steady beat?
Step 7 - Listen to the song story “This Land Is Your Land.”
